We are making some changes to our versioning scheme. We will be releasing minor versions at the end of each month, starting end of October 2020. This scheme is intended to provide a mechanism to deliver continuous, quality functionality releases at the end of each month. The version format is $Year.$Minor, such as 20.5. For example, the following are tentative release dates and versions:
Please note version numbers are tentative.
The Mobile App will support all the compliance enforcement rules of the browser-based timesheet from blocking time entry in advance to enforcing comments – at your choice, of course – as well as all the same automated reminders you use today.
Contract Management: Contract Management will collect, track, and manage data at the contract level and associate that data with as many projects as necessary to make the total contract visible to the stakeholders. Contract modifications and associated changes in contract value or funding will be tracked individually with both an audit trail and reporting functionality. Modifications at the contract level will update affected projects and contract values and funding will roll up from the projects. Contract Managers will be able to generate contract reports to easily summarize and distribute information to stakeholders.
Administrators will have the flexibility to define and capture contract status information, contract types, as well as User Defined Fields (UDFs).
The Contracts menu will appear in place of the Projects menu and Projects will be located as a submenu under Contracts.
Note: Contract functionality is for cloud customers only.
Inventory: From data imported from an external inventory system, stakeholders will be able to view inventory associated with specific projects. The data will not need to be manually recorded in Unanet. Project managers, project accountants, and other stakeholders will be able to easily access data on the items and quantities in inventory via the new Project Inventory report.
If the Use Inventory (unanet.inventory.enabled) property is enabled, the following functionality will be available:
Note: Inventory functionality is for cloud customers only.
System Requirements

Should you need to update your database version you will want to do this prior to running the Unanet migration.
The process of updating your SQL Server database involves the creation of a backup of the database in the older version and then a restore of that file in the newer database version.
Java Memory Parameter Tuning -- Unanet 10.0 and up will require you to increase several memory related parameters in order to function properly. See Required Java Tuning for more information.
